Cortisol stimulates the production of sebum when mixed with bacteria clogs the follicle resulting in face acne. Another issue or cause of face acne is oily or heavy make-up. This may not be the direct cause of your acne problem, but using such “cover-ups” can contribute to your existing problem. Such make-up products that have oil contained in them also, clog pores which results in a break out of face acne.
The most effective way to treat face acne in adults as well as adolescents is to change the way you take care of your skin. A gentle cleaning with mild cleanser is the most recommended, and pay attention to how the products you are using are affecting the condition of your skin. If you are prone to face acne problems, be careful to use only products that are non-comedogenic. Avoid squeezing your pimples at all cost, squeezing causes your acne to spread and eventually cause infections.
